Checking in With Our Adopted Greys - Mako

Mako left our care homes last year to find his forever home, all the way in the USA! We wrote to his Mum, Kat, to find out how he was getting on...

Hi IRGT Team,

Magic, now known as Mako as a tribute to my horse that suddenly passed away recently, is settling in wonderfully! Mako is an absolute gem of a greyhound that brings joy and smiles everywhere he goes.

Mako has accompanied me on several adventures already. One being a very fun trip to the pet store where he got to pick out some toys. One toy he loved so much he insisted on carrying it around the store in his mouth until my fiancé bought it for him. His favorite adventure so far was going to beach, seeing the ocean and walking in the sand!

Mako is an A+ student in his dog training classes! He loves to learn and get treats, obviously! Mako is a very fast learner and I couldn’t be more proud of how he is doing with his training.

I am so blessed to have Mako in my life now and I would love to say a special thank you to his previous owner from Ireland. I am so happy she loved him so much when she had him and I can’t wait to continue loving him for her and myself!
